The Haad Saithong Resort, sometimes written as Had Sai Thong Resort, is located between the Haad Chao Lao beach and road 4036. It is easily accessible from Sukhumvit Road, the road from Bangkok to the east.
You reach the reception via the entrance. The reception is built in the same style as the other buildings, fairly light buildings, consisting of no more than three floors. There are also a number of detached and semi-detached bungalows.

There are a number of types of rooms, 2-person, 3-person, 4-person and 6-person.
We slept in a 2-person bungalow with a view of the swimming pool. The family that came along slept in two 6-person bungalows.

The room looks neat and clean, we estimate at least 25 square meters. In front of the room is a terrace with a table and 2 chairs. The bed is large but quite hard. There are tiles on the floor. Of course there is well-adjustable, quiet air conditioning, a refrigerator with two bottles of water, a kettle with coffee, a hairdryer and a flat-screen TV with satellite receiver.
There is plenty of room for luggage, a spacious wardrobe and a dressing table.

The bathroom has a spacious sink and a shower with hot and cold water from an electric heater. There is soap and shampoo.

The door of the room is opened with a key in a cylinder lock. The lock is a built-in lock with a push button to lock the lock from the inside.

The resort has ample parking space next to or in front of the rooms, there is a beautiful swimming pool, a restaurant where breakfast is also served, and free WiFi.
Breakfast, from seven to nine o'clock, consists of Thai and Western dishes. The quality is reasonable.
The beach is just behind the pool.

The room seems recently renovated, and we appreciate that. But there are some strange things.
The wardrobe door and the bungalow door cannot open at the same time, as they get in each other's way.
Inside the room, the key label must be placed in a "switch" that works like a main switch, found in many hotels to save power when no one is in the room. But here the switch only works for the lamps and the wall sockets, and not for the TV and air conditioning. The biggest power guzzlers always stay on if you don't remember to turn them off.

We were here on Sunday, December 3, 2023, on Monday, December 4, 2023 and on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
We paid Thb 3000 per night for the bungalow, we made a reservation by phone in advance. In total we paid over THB 15,000 for the three rooms.
